1. Who runs the service

Corda Rossa (cordarossa.it) is run by:

2. The service

Corda Rossa allows adults to post ads for consensual encounters, write and read stories, manage a profile and photo albums, share contacts and communicate in chat; it also offers free guides and a public board with the ads that their authors choose to show to everyone. The service is free and will stay that way: we don't sell subscriptions, credits, virtual currency or “featured” ads, and no feature is paid. We never ask you for payment details. That's why there are no purchases to refund and no rights of withdrawal to exercise: you can stop using the service whenever you like.

3. Who can sign up

Adults only, for personal, non-commercial use: anyone who signs up does so freely, without being coerced by anyone. Each person may have only one account. Paid services in any form are not allowed, nor is advertising of venues, events or commercial activities.

4. Your account

Your account is personal: you may not transfer it or let others use it (a couple profile is managed by the holder of its email address, who is also responsible for the other person's consent). You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for what you publish; if you suspect someone else has accessed your account, change your password and write to us. We recommend turning on two-step verification.

5. Your content

It remains yours. You only grant us a free, non-exclusive permission to store it, adapt it technically (for example resizing photos), subject it to checks and show it to the people you choose, until you delete it; the providers listed in the Privacy notice process it only for this purpose. We never use it for advertising or outside the site. If you choose to show an ad on the public board, its title, text, category and province become visible to anyone and to search engines, until you remove that choice or the ad; copies in search engines' memory are managed by them and may remain for some time. Your content must comply with the Rules and the law: publish only content you hold the rights to, and photos of yourself or of adults who have given their consent. Whoever publishes unlawful content is liable for the damage it causes.

6. How we moderate content

• Before publication, ads, stories, profile descriptions and photos go through an automated check using artificial intelligence; doubtful cases are examined by a person. The details are on the Artificial intelligence page. Chat messages and photos aren't checked: the moderator sees only the individual message that someone reports, and we hand them over to the judicial authorities only if ordered to do so.
• Reports (art. 16 DSA): anyone, even without an account, can report illegal content or content contrary to the rules from the Report page or with the button next to the content. Reports from members suspend the content immediately pending a check, with limits to prevent abuse.
• Reasoned decisions (art. 17 DSA): if we remove or restrict your content or your account, we explain the reason, the rule applied and whether the decision was automated.
• Complaints (art. 20 DSA): you can appeal any decision within 6 months from the Decisions page; it is reviewed by a person. You can also turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body (art. 21 DSA) or to the courts.
• Misuse (art. 23 DSA): anyone who frequently publishes illegal content or makes unfounded reports may be suspended, after a warning.

7. Proper use

You use the site only for personal purposes and in compliance with the Rules. Multiple accounts, bots and automated programs, systematic copying of content (scraping) and any attempt to get around checks, limits or a suspension are forbidden.

8. Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time from the Account page: your data is deleted immediately, except for what the law requires us to keep (such as reports and decisions), and disappears from backups as they rotate. Accounts inactive for 12 months are deleted, with an email warning about a month beforehand. We may close accounts that seriously breach the rules or the law: in that case, it won't be possible to sign up again with the same email address or Google account for 5 years.

9. Liability

Corda Rossa hosts members' content and takes no part in the meetings or arrangements between them, which take place under the responsibility of those who make them. We don't verify users' identities: be cautious, don't send money or personal data to people you don't know and report suspicious behaviour to us. This is without prejudice to any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Service availability

We do our best to keep the site working at all times, but there may be interruptions for maintenance, updates, faults or force majeure. We keep backups of the data, but we recommend you keep a copy of any photos that matter to you.

11. Closure of the service

If the service should ever close, we'll announce it on the site and by email at least 30 days beforehand, so you can download your data from the Account page.

12. Changes

If we change these terms, we update the date at the top. We'll notify you of important changes on the site or by email before they take effect, except for those required by law or urgent for security reasons: if you don't agree, you can close your account.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

Italian law applies. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the court of the place where you live (art. 66-bis of the Codice del consumo, the Italian Consumer Code); all other consumer protections remain unaffected.

14. Final provisions

If any clause proves to be invalid, the others remain valid. If the service is transferred to another operator, we'll let you know beforehand, so you can download your data and, if you wish, close your account.
